Welcome to MeXun ("MeXun" or the "Service"). MeXun is operated by NOKU LLC, and its product website is mexun.com. By checking that you agree, completing registration, or continuing to use the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service and the MeXun Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not register for or use the Service.
Contact email: admin@nokuinc.com.
1. The Service and Account Registration
MeXun is an instant-messaging service that supports text, images, voice, video, file transfer, friends and groups, voice and video calls, and notification alerts. The Service is open to the public. Registration requires an email address that can be verified as yours by an email verification code; both the username and email address can be used for password sign-in.
You must provide truthful, accurate, and lawful information and keep your account, password, verification codes, and device secure. You may not rent, sell, transfer, lend, share, or otherwise allow another person to use your account. If you discover that another person may be using your account, promptly change your password and contact the support email address.
2. Rules for Your Use
You may not use MeXun for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, harassing, threatening, hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, malware-distribution, spam, or other activities that endanger users or the Service. You may not impersonate another person or organization; collect, disclose, sell, or use another person's personal information without authorization; circumvent security, encryption, permissions, rate limits, or access controls; or interfere with, attack, reverse engineer, or damage the Service.
You are responsible for content that you send, upload, display, or share through your account, and you represent that you hold the necessary rights or have obtained required authorization. You may not send content that infringes another person's privacy, likeness, copyright, trademark, or other lawful rights.
3. Communications, Encryption, and User Content
MeXun provides end-to-end encryption capabilities for supported communications content. Encryption is intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to content, but it cannot eliminate every risk or prevent a chat participant from taking screenshots, making screen recordings, forwarding, copying, or otherwise retaining content. You must decide for yourself with whom to communicate and what information to share.
You retain rights in your content. To the extent necessary to provide, transmit, synchronize, display, protect, and delete service content, you grant MeXun a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, and revocable license to use that content. The license ends, to the extent reasonably necessary, when the content or account is deleted, except where retention is required by law, another user has lawfully obtained a copy, or retention is necessary to prevent abuse.
MeXun does not claim ownership of your private chat content and does not provide platform-side call recording. Communications, transactions, commitments, and conduct between users are the responsibility of the relevant users. Except as otherwise required by applicable law, MeXun is not a party to any transaction, employment, agency, or guarantee between users.
4. Friends, Groups, and Safety Tools
You may choose to add friends, create or join groups, and use the block list to prevent specified users from contacting you. Group owners and administrators should manage their groups reasonably. To protect service security, we may restrict, remove, block, suspend, or terminate content, accounts, or feature access that is suspected of being unlawful, infringing, abusive, or harmful to the Service, and cooperate with handling where required by applicable law.
If you encounter unlawful, infringing, harassing, threatening, or other abusive conduct, use Chat Settings → Report to select a reason and deliberately upload necessary image evidence. In a group, first select the member being reported. You may also contact admin@nokuinc.com. We will promptly review voluntarily submitted evidence and take appropriate action. Reporting does not authorize us to read or decrypt other private conversations. Do not submit passwords, verification codes, or unrelated personal information.
5. Permissions, External Platforms, and Third-Party Services
Camera, microphone, photo library, files, location, and notification permissions are used only for the applicable features. You may disable them in system settings. Disabling a permission may make the related feature unavailable, but does not affect unrelated features.
External platforms displayed in Discover are opened voluntarily by you. Their websites, content, services, privacy practices, and transaction rules are their own responsibility. MeXun does not provide an external platform with your MeXun sign-in token, chat content, contacts, call information, or notification credentials. Please read an external platform's rules and privacy policy before using it.
To deliver email verification codes and account email-change security alerts, we may provide an email service provider only the minimum delivery data required for that message, such as the email address, verification code or alert type, and language. To deliver device notifications, we may use Apple's standard APNs, Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), or MeXun's self-hosted real-time connection and Android system notifications, depending on the capability actually available on the device. MeXun does not use Huawei, HONOR, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, or other device-manufacturer push services as a production delivery channel. Network carriers, device systems, notification permissions, audio settings, push services, internet connectivity, or force majeure may cause delays, failures, or interruptions. Notification delivery does not guarantee the availability of a message, call, or the Service.
6. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may modify, suspend, limit, or terminate part of the Service for security, operational, legal, or technical reasons and, where reasonably practicable, provide advance notice. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, endanger others or the Service, provide false information, or if law requires us to take action.
You may initiate permanent deletion at any time through Me → Delete Account in the app. The MeXun Account and Data Deletion Notice and Privacy Policy describe the deletion rules.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We take reasonable measures to maintain service security and stability, but do not guarantee that the Service will always be error-free, uninterrupted, completely secure, or suitable for your particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for delays, failures, data loss, or damage resulting from networks, devices, operating systems, third-party services, user conduct, force majeure, or causes outside our reasonable control.
These Terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where applicable law permits a limitation of liability, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from use of the Service.
8. Updates and Dispute Resolution
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be presented in the app and require renewed confirmation. Continued use of an updated version constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law. The current effective Terms are published at https://mexun.com/legal/terms, and historical versions are retained for audit.
Interpretation of, application of, and dispute resolution under these Terms are governed by mandatory provisions of applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service should first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If no resolution is reached, either party may seek relief from a court or other body with jurisdiction.
